Studying Computer Science and Mathematics

About

I am currently a student at Harding University pursuing a bachelor's degree with majors in Computer Science and Mathematics.

Computer Science and Mathematics Major

  • School:Harding University
  • Degree in Progress:Bachelor of Science
  • City:Franklin, Tennessee
  • Interest areas:AI, ML, Cybersecurity

I am a passionate student researcher with a strong aspiration to pursue a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a focus on AI. Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Computer Science and Mathematics at Harding University. With an interest in technology and a passion for problem-solving, I constantly strive to expand my knowledge and skills in the field.

During the summers of 2022 and 2023, I had the privilege of interning at Northrop Grumman, a leading aerospace and defense technology company. In my first summer, I worked as a Systems Integration and Administration intern. The following summer, I returned to Northrop Grumman as a Systems Engineering intern. In this role, I contributed to the design, implementation, and testing of complex systems, gaining valuable insight into the full life cycle of system development and enhancing my problem-solving abilities. This past summer, I worked as a Data Science Research Assistant at the University of Chicago, where I furthered my research skills and engaged in data analysis of neural readings.

As a student member of the IEEE, I actively engage with industry professionals to stay updated on the latest advancements in the field. I have presented my research at various conferences, including the Harding University Undergraduate Research Conference and IEEE SoutheastCon, where I won first place in a presentation competition.

With my academic background, research experiences, and internships, I am enthusiastic about leveraging my skills, passion, and dedication to make a meaningful impact in both professional and academic settings. My future plans include developing AI/ML systems that learn incrementally and produce human-relatable outputs. I am also interested in the creation of efficient ML systems, focusing on their optimization to make them as useful as possible.
